Great Outdoors Grill co 34
Smoky Mountain Gas Smoker
For 20 years I had been
building my own smokers for my grills, some of which could
handle over 500 pounds of solid meat. But after years of
building I decided to buy a Great Outdoors Grill co 34 Smoky
Mountain Gas Smoker. The gas is a lot easier to
monitor than my old wood fires.
From the instant I set up my
new Great Outdoors Grill co
34 Smoky Mountain Gas Smoker on new I was on a winner. The
smoker was very easy to start up and as I have been around
smokers before I was armed with a clamp to adjust the
temperature to a lower degree than you can get using the gauges
on the smoker. By using the clamp I can get temperatures as low
as 175 degrees and maintain it at 200degrees even with dust
storms and high winds the burners do not go out.
To ensure an even heat you will
want to rotate your shelves around, top to bottom and front to
back etc... This allows for even cooking heat and really isn’t
a hassle to do.
Cleaning up the
Great Outdoors Grill co 34
Smoky Mountain Gas Smoker box is very easy and even after
12 months of use my smoker box is still looking in great
shape.
Some other uses for the smoker box
include: Using it as an outside oven with no smoke. I can
achieve a heat of up to 500 degrees which allows you to bake
just about anything. It can be used for standing rib roasts.
Just place the roast in the smoker with an external temp probe
and set it for 220 degrees. Once you hit 125 degrees on the
internet temp your roast is ready to eat.
When cooking large meats it’s
best to use a temperature probe, this will give you a more
accurate guide on how hot things are in there. If you keep the
Great Outdoors Grill co 34 Smoky
Mountain Gas Smoker clean after every use it will last
a long time.
